1. Technical Assistant (Operations) Trainees
No of Posts – 62 Posts (11 posts reserved for SC, 1 post for ST & 16 posts for OBC)
Education: First Class Diploma in Chemical Technology
2. Technical Assistant (Maintenance) – Mechanical Trainees – 16 Posts (3 posts reserved for SC & 4 posts for OBC)
Education: First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
3. Technical Assistant (Maintenance) – Electrical Trainees – 9 Posts (1 post reserved for SC & 2 posts for OBC)
Education: First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering
4. Technical Assistant (Maintenance) – Instrumentation Trainees – 16 Posts (3 posts reserved for SC & 4 posts for OBC)
Education:
First Class Diploma in Electronics & Communication
Or
First Class Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
5. Lab Analyst Trainees – 6 Posts (1 post reserved for SC & 1 post for OBC)
Education: First Class B.Sc. (Chemistry) Main with Physics & Maths as Ancillary subject
Age (As on 31.03.2008): Not exceeding 22 years. Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates
Duration of the training: 2 years consisting of both class room and on-the-job training
Stipend: Rs.5000/- pm in the first year and Rs.6000/- pm during the second year of training
Absorption: On successful completion of training, candidates will be considered for permanent absorption in the scale of pay of Rs.4850-145-8475 (Grade IV), subject to satisfactory performance during training.
General Information
[ Reservation for SC/ST/OBC will be as per Government of India Directives.
[ The Management reserves the right to call suitable/short-listed candidates for test/interview. Requirements may also be relaxed for deserving candidates at the discretion of the Management.

[ For claiming the benefit of OBC category, the candidate should submit a proper caste certificate as per the proforma prescribed by the Government of India (specimen given below), which would, among others, specifically mention that the candidate does not belong to the persons / sections (Creamy Layer) as mentioned in column 3 of the Schedule to the Department of Personnel and Training OM No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 08-09-1993, Government of India.
[ Completed application form as given below together with (a) Demand Draft or Banker’s Cheque for Rs.100/- (for General / OBC candidates) and Rs.50/- (for SC/ST candidates) in favour of Madras Fertilizers Ltd, payable at Chennai towards Application processing fee and (b) photocopies of original certificates, attested by a Gazetted Officer, in support of age, educational qualification and caste (SC/ST/OBC) superscribing the post for which the candidate apply should be sent to the undersigned on or before 18.07.2008.
