Dredging Corporation of India Limited, a Government of India Undertaking with Mini-Ratna status, with Headquarters at Visakhapatnam, immediately requires Officers in the following levels for undertaking Sethu-Samudram Channel Project in Tamil Nadu and other Projects in India and also at Head Office, Visakhapatnam, on contract basis.
Adviser/Consultant in the field of Dredging/Projects/Ship Repairs.
Education/Experience: Master (FG)/ Master (HT)/ MOT I Class Marine Engineer/Dredge Master Gr.I /
Graduates in Civil/ Mechanical Engineering with more than 20 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
Consolidated salary (all inclusive): Negotiable
Middle levels of Management in Dredging Operations, Ship Repairs, Materials.
Education/Experience: MOT I Class/II Class holders/Dredge Master Gr.I /Graduates / I Class Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, with more than 10 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
Consolidated salary (all inclusive): Negotiable
Note:
- Salary will be commensurate with the knowledge and experience in the relevant field.
- The period of employment on contract basis is initially for six month, renewable on satisfactory performance during the contract period.
- The contract can be terminated by one month’s notice on either side.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD & Ex-Servicemen will be made as per the Government Orders in force.
- Preference will be given to Retired officers with dredging experience.
- This employment is purely on contract basis and this will not entitle for permanent employment in the Corporation.
- Officers and employees retired on VRS from PSUs including DCI are not eligible to apply.

I am a retired POELP from Indian Navy. I retired on 31 Jan 2009. Indian Navy has given me Trade Certificate equivalent to Degree in Electrical Engineering and I have completed STCW-95 course from NAMAC. I have completed my graduation from IGNOU and PGDM in HR & PM from BIMS-Pune.
Could you please tell me whether I am eligible for the post of assistant Electrical Officer on board your dredging ships, or otherwise for which post I can apply for.
