• Pay : Rs. 10940/-, Rs.11295/- and Rs.11650/- in first year, second year and third year respectively. Book allowance or Rs. 3000/- per year will be paid as per rules.
• Qualification: (i) A registered Medical Graduate of a recognised university (ii) A Postgraduate Medical Degree/Diploma in the concerned speciality
• Age : below 33 years with ususal relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC as per rules.

2. Category B : Junior Resident (NPG) : 69 posts (UR-36, OBC-17, SC-11, ST-7) (Tenure 1 year)

• Pay : Rs. 9400/- per month with other allowances
• Age : no upper age limit.
• Qualification: A registered Medical Graduate of a recognised University and should have completed one year compulsory internship.

3. Category C : Junior Resident (NPG) in Dentistry : 02 posts (UR-2) (Tenure 1 year)

• Pay : Rs. 9400/- per month with other allowances
• Age : no upper age limit.
• Qualification: A registered Dental Graduate of a recognised University and should have completed one year compulsory internship.

Application in the prescribed format completed in all respect should reach to the office of the Director, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry-605006 within 20 days.

Application cover should be superscribed “Application for the Post of Senior Resident of the Department/Discipline of ………… / Junior Resident (NPG) / Junior Resident (NPG) in Dentistry” and should enclose one self-addressed envelope of size 12×26 cms affixing stamp of Rs.5/-.
