Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) : 06 posts
Qualification: Four Year Full Time B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE.
Assistant Engineer (Electrical) : 42 posts
Qualification: Four Year Full Time B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE. Candidates having Dual Specialization in Electrical & Electronics may also apply.
Assistant Engineer (Civil) : 05 posts
Qualification: Four Year Full Time B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE.
Assistant Engineer (IT /Computer Science) : 03 posts
Qualification: Four Year Full Time B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / MCA (full time) from recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE.
Assistant Manager (Finance & Accounts) : 05 posts
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and passed Final Examination from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India or MBA (Two year fulltime) with specialization in Finance from a recognized university / reputed Institute duly approved by AICTE.
Assistant Manager (HR & Administration) : 09 posts
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and MBA (2 year course) full time with specialization in Personnel Management / H.R or Post-Graduate full time Degree / Diploma (2 year course) with specialization in Personnel Management / H.R from a recognized University / reputed Institute approved by AICTE.

Qualification: Graduate in Science / Engineering plus two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management / MBA (Materials Management) from a recognized University / reputed Institute approved by AICTE.

Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil) : 30 posts
Qualification: Three Year Full Time Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute / College duly recognized by W.B. State Council of Tech. Education.
Pay Scale : For Sub-Assistant Engineer : Rs.6300-20200/- Grade Pay Rs.4400 and for Engineers/ Assistant Managerts, the pay scale is15600-39100 with grade pay Rs.5400
Age limit: 27 years as on 01.07.2009. Age is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Reservation: Reservation of post for SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped candidates will be as per govt. rules in force.
Application Fee : DD of Rs. 400/- (Rs.300/- for Sub Engineer poss) drawn in favor of West Bengal StateElectricity Distribution Company Ltd. payable at Kolkata only. Demand drafts payable at locations other than Kolkata will not be accepted. Money Order / Postal Order or any other mode of payment is not acceptable. No fee from SC/ST candidates.
